Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and sandwiches following safety and quality standards
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Assist with food preparation and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous barista experience is highly preferred but not required (can be trained)
- Familiarity with POS is a plus but not required (can be trained)
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic, positive attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and food preparation practices
- Experience in retail or food service environments demonstrating excellent communication skills
