Join our vibrant Learning Center team as a Learning Center Staff member specializing in English Pre-K to Elementary Math. Duties
- Deliver individualized instructions tailored to each student’s learning needs, focusing on English language skills and literacy education. (1:1 to 1:3)
- Follow and adapt curriculum materials to suit different learning styles
- Conduct tutoring sessions for students under 2nd grade to enhance English and math skills such as phonograms and number facts.
- Keep track of students learning situation and keep the center instructor/managers updated
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children learn and grow. While previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, it is not required. We value a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn above all else. This is a part time but long term role if you are interested!
Qualifications
- At least one past experience working with students in any types of settings.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their academic growth.
- Interest in education, literacy, and helping students build confidence.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, encouraging, and able to build positive relationships with young learners.
- Willingness to learn and follow the center's instructional methods and curriculum.
- Organized and attentive to detail when tracking student progress and communicating updates.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with instructors and center managers.
Availability
- Must be available to work every Wednesday from 3:00 PM–7:00 PM and every Saturday from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM (minimum 7 hours per week).
- Additional hours are available to work extra 10–12 hours per week at another nearby learning center for candidates seeking more hours.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with children through tutoring, teaching, coaching, childcare, camps, or volunteer work.
- College coursework or a degree in Education, Child Development, English, Psychology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with early elementary English and math concepts is a plus.
