Job Summary
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dental team and providing quality oral healthcare to patients. Your support in various dental procedures and patient care will contribute to a positive dental experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent infection
- Assist dentists during procedures, including X-rays and other treatments
- Utilize knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims
- Maintain and organize medical records efficiently
- Support in prosthodontics, endodontics, and other dental specialties
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing dental systems like Epic
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout appointments
Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique for infection control
- Experience in assisting dentists with various procedures
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with medical coding for billing purposes
- Understanding of human anatomy relevant to dental procedures
- Ability to work with dental systems like Epic for record management
- Bilingual would be a plus
