We are currently searching for a dynamic Consumer Loan Processor to join our Credit Union family. This position will be based at our Sheridan Branch location (Pembroke Pines- I-75 & Sheridan). This role is responsible for an array of Consumer Loan Processing duties and may have some limited hybrid options after a 4-6 month training period.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Consumer Loan files are accurate, complete and processed in a timely manner, with primary focus on closing of approved loans. Consumer Loan products include, but are not limited to: Auto, RV, Boat, Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Lines of Credit and Manufactured Homes. The role includes activities such as document review, rectifying any deficiencies and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards as well as PFCU requirements. This position will communicate effectively with all PFCU partners to ensure ”One Team One Goal” is always top of mind.
In this position you will:
- Verify all documentation provided by Borrower/Originator including income documentation and collateral details, when applicable, VIN, model, mileage, appraisals, surveys, buyer’s orders, inspections, Carfax, insurance, trade-in, down-paymentsources and coordinating marine documentation for boat loans.
- Collaborate with Originators, Underwriters, Loan Operations Team and other stakeholders to obtain missing information, resolve discrepancies, and support complex loan scenarios.
- Finalize funding information, preparing funding details and disbursements
- Maintain accurate, organized loan files and conducting final audits to confirm all pre-closing conditions, terms, and documentation are met and properly archived.
- Submit indirect loan applications into PFCU’s loan origination system and coordinating with indirect lenders to clear closing conditions and stipulations.
- Ensure adherence at all times to all PFCU policies and procedures, all required state and federal regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Promote the PFCU brand at all times by supporting PFCU's goals (Membership Growth, Deposit Growth, Loans & Community Involvement) while maintaining PFCU Values (R.E.S.P.E.C.T.).
To be considered you will need:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in a loan processing or consumer lending role.
- Math Ability- Must have sound understanding of basic Accounting and have the ability to calculate figures.
- MS Office applications: Intermediate Word and Excel.
- Must have strong attention to detail to include solid data entry with limited errors.
- Must possess the ability to remain calm, patient, objective, and professional when presented with difficult situations.
- Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment.
- Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing effectively and maintain effective working relationships within team, and with other Credit Union departments
- Must have the ability to meet attendance standards and adhere to work schedule.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
