GCT Chauffeured Services provides professional ground transportation. Building on the fundamentals of hospitality and privacy, we provide the ideal transportation experience for travelers, vacationers, and executives. The primary focus of each GCT employee is taking the stress of travel away from our clients and providing them with safety and security as we pay attention to every detail, no matter how large or small the job is.
Position Summary
It is the primary responsibility of the CDL Bus Operator to provide courteous and professional services to our clients. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
- Provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation to every client, on every trip
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, fueling and removing trash after trip completion
- Maintain a clean MVR and background
- Maintain an up to date MedCard on you at all times
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Communication
- Communicate with dispatch for all needs
- Maintain clear and consistent communication at all times
Operations
- Consistent punctuality
- Familiar with routes, stops, and timing to ensure a smooth trip and compliance with driver hours
- Provide services in accordance with training and specifications
- Complete required daily driver logs in compliance with DOT regulations
- Operate company software and apps efficiently
Customer Service
- Answer rider questions to the best of your ability and direct any concerns to dispatch
- Maintain a friendly disposition, greeting all riders and assisting with luggage
- Maintain familiarity with popular locations to provide recommendations to clients when prompted
Integrity
- Add value to and assist with reaching company goals by taking ownership in your position and assisting with other responsibilities as needed
- Show integrity and respect with all clients and coworkers
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to safely drive a full range of vehicles
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Geographical knowledge of the Charleston and surrounding areas, attractions, and history
- Adequate proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills
Education / Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of related experience preferred
- Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license and CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement — REQUIRED
