Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various concrete construction tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Duties
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete according to specifications and project requirements.
- Assist in setting up forms for concrete structures, ensuring they are level and secure.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other laborers and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow blueprints and project plans to meet design specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in concrete work.
- Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in masonry techniques is preferred.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus for transporting materials.
- Familiarity with drywall installation and repair processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for operating machinery and tools effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for construction projects.
- Skills in construction estimating to assist in project planning.
- Experience in flooring installation, including tile laying, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of renovation techniques related to concrete work is advantageous.
- Ability to apply plaster finishes as needed on various surfaces.
