Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Level A / Level I to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing diesel & CNG. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy duty truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repair to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. You will work on various equipment, including tractor-trailers, and be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and CNG engines.
- Diagnose issues with air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other components.
- Utilize schematics to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with service technicians to address complex mechanical issues.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in heavy duty truck maintenance. This includes experience with air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks, struts, and tractor-trailer maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems, particularly Cummins, Detroit & Caterpillar engines.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
