Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students, particularly those with diverse needs. This position requires a passion for early childhood education, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Engage with children during activities to promote social interaction and learning.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing behavior management strategies.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during playtime and other activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards.
- Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Background in first aid, caregiving, or related fields is beneficial.
- Strong classroom management skills and experience in teaching.
