We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to champion the technical integrity of electrical control systems and infrastructure, ranging from 13.8kV to 480VAC, within a sophisticated facility focused on advanced material processing. This role offers a distinctive opportunity to spearhead and contribute to projects in a demanding industrial landscape, encompassing processes such as chemical treatments, metal refinement, and advanced materials manufacturing.
As a key member of the Engineering team, you will drive improvements and ensure the reliability of critical electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support and guidance for electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, ensuring optimal performance of plant processing equipment and operations.
- Design and develop comprehensive electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, layouts, and schematics, for new equipment and electrical distribution systems.
- Craft and execute rigorous test plans to validate system designs and ensure reliable operation, contributing to overall plant efficiency.
- Define and implement maintenance protocols for new equipment, leveraging manufacturer guidelines and engineering analyses to optimize system longevity.
- Uphold strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards for all plant and equipment electrical and control systems, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Lead thorough failure analyses to pinpoint root causes and recommend effective solutions, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to support plant initiatives and new projects, communicating key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with coursework in power system distribution.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant, or a consulting firm specializing in heavy industry design/construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
- Solid understanding of ISA, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, and NFPA electrical codes and standards.
- Demonstrated project management skills using Microsoft Project.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Experience with industrial controls, particularly Allen Bradley systems.
