JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a SEWING OPERATOR in Simpsonville, SC. The SEWING OPERATOR is responsible for processing fabrics for lifting slings and straps . This is a 1st shift position (6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday). The pay is $15 to $19/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities of a SEWING OPERATOR includes:
- Operate sewing machines
- Trouble shoot minor mechanical problems
- Identify what materials will be needed as well as dimensions, tolerances, and shapes to produce according to production order
- Use processes of cutting and sewing to produce parts
- Set-up machines based on Technical data sheets
- Mark and label product
- Complete paperwork to declare product and material/component usage
- Work as a team to meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED Experience and Education:
- High School diploma or GED
- MUST HAVE experience working with an industrial sewing machine, embroidery machine, weaving machine or closely related experience
- Basic Math Skills
- Able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: team lift up to 40 pounds as needed, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arm
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
