We are seeking an experienced Program Therapist I to provide individual and group therapy services while helping establish a high-quality clinical program from the ground up. This role is ideal for a clinician who is confident working independently and passionate about supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
This position is also designed as a growth pathway for clinicians who are working toward full independent licensure and advanced clinical practice within a structured and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions within scope of licensure
- Complete assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation independently
- Serve as primary clinician for an assigned caseload, including care coordination and discharge planning
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically indicated
- Provide education to patients and families on substance use, mental health, coping skills, and relapse prevention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team including medical, nursing, and support staff
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical support during urgent situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards
- Participate in treatment team meetings and ongoing clinical development
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in addiction studies or a related field such as psychology, counseling, social work, or mental health required
- Active Illinois clinical license required: LPC, LSW, or ALMFT
- Experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to work independently
- Ideal candidates will be on track to obtain full independent clinical licensure within their first 6 months of employment

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
