Lincoln ContractingEquipment is seeking a Engineering Manager who will manage the engineering function of the organization and is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing processes and procedures. They are responsible for keeping production costs down, while maintain the quality of the product. The individual will research automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes current and long-range objectives, plans, and policies.

Creates a technical vision for the company and plans for implementation of new technical projects or product lines.

Dispenses advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.

Works with product development, sales, and marketing to discern competitiveness of new technologies.

Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.

Creates technical budgets, allocates resources, and determines schedule of product releases or project deadlines.

Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the organization.

Analyzes new technologies and runs competitive analyses.

Reviews calculations and geometry to prove the designs integrity.

Supervises the documentation of all requirements for implementation of design/revisions, and all quality standards to be followed.

Lend guidance to production personnel during implementation of design.

Review final product for intent and practical application.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leads, and has responsibility for design teams assigned to specific tasks and managing their work to ensure that the tasks are completed on time, within budget, and is of the required quality.

Trains, educates, and mentors team members and contributes to their ongoing development and performance evaluations.

In addition to the above, is capable of, and responsible for, training and mentoring Jr. Engineers, Drafter/Designers, and participating in their ongoing development.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and 10+ year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and line management experience is desired.
