Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor for a warehouse operation in Monroe, LA. Must have exceptional communication skills and will be responsible for daily workload completion, including quality, safety, and customer service. Must be hands-on and able to lead others. Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus. Competitive salary starting at $45K - $50K depending on experience.
This is a morning shift starting at 5am and requires some weekend work as well. Our Team generally includes roughly 6 Unloaders performing physically demanding labor and getting paid by the piece.
Duties
- Supervise daily unloading of all inbound trucks, including checking in and out drivers, collecting payments, and distributing loads.
- Lead and motivate a team of unloaders while holding them accountable for their performance.
- Ensure staffing is adequate and recruit, hire, & train additional unloaders as needed.
- Monitor equipment care and maintain battery water levels.
- Communicate daily with customer personnel and delivery drivers.
- Help complete daily unloading as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with strong leadership skills.
- Experience with forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
