Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and common areas.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure efficient and effective results.
- Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning materials to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, managing waste disposal, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures.
- Use janitorial experience to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly and report them for swift resolution.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and janitorial equipment operation.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning methods including floor care, chemical handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Previous hospitality or hotel experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills is highly desirable.
