Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents with care, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization
- Support food handling procedures to uphold food safety regulations and prevent contamination
- Buss tables, clear trays, and help with dishwashing to ensure a tidy dining environment
- Follow all sanitation protocols including proper storage of food items and cleaning of equipment
- Collaborate with the dietary department team to ensure timely meal delivery and resident satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service environments is preferred but not required
- Culinary or food industry experience demonstrating familiarity with food preparation and serving techniques is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper handling procedures is highly valued
- Strong time management skills to efficiently coordinate meal service within busy settings
- Customer service experience that highlights your ability to interact positively with residents and team members
- Dietary aide or similar role experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
