Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver specializing in oilfield hot shot operations to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized equipment to transport oilfield materials and equipment across various on and off highway routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate complex logistics will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial oilfield specialty hot shot trucks and flatbed trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Transport oilfield equipment, hazardous materials, and freight across oilfield routes with precision and professionalism.
- Load and unload cargo manually, with winch or forklift assistance, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while adhering to oilfield requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and safety protocols.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with truck-trailers used in oilfield or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) including proper handling, documentation, and safety procedures Is a plus but not a must have.
- Familiarity with flatbed and winch truck, freight and pipe transportation is highly desirable.
- Experience with off highway routes, with occasional over-the-road (OTR) routes involving long-distance deliveries across multiple states.
- Ability to manually handle heavy cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as winch truck or manual handling techniques.
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record is required.
- Hazmat endorsement is appreciated but not required.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to commercial driving hours, load securement, and safety standards is essential.
