Job Summary
As a Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technician at CSI, your work directly impacts whether our customers can operate. When cooking equipment is down, our customers rely on us to get them up and going quickly.
This role requires a technician who can diagnose accurately, act decisively, and take ownership in the field. You’ll be trusted to service and repair critical commercial kitchen equipment while representing a locally owned company that values professionalism, urgency, and doing the job right the first time.
Duties
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial cooking and kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, griddles, steamers, dish machines, and related systems
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation accurately
- Communicate clearly with customers and office staff on findings and next steps
- Build and maintain CSI’s strong customer relationships through professional, honest, and dependable service
- Uphold safety and workmanship standards
- Manage truck inventory and maintain a clean, organized vehicle
- Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experienced, independent technician (can run calls without hand-holding)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
