Chin Up Donuts is elevating the donut and coffee experience in Arizona and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team! Our Baristas are responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, and the daily prep and execution of our specialty coffee along with donuts, sauces, and assistance in the kitchen as needed. We are looking for a passionate person that is excited by working with scratch-made donuts, specialty coffee and experimenting with new flavors for both seasonal donuts and coffee. We are looking for someone that appreciates quality food and drinks and strives to provide consistent, delicious coffee beverages and stellar customer service. The ideal candidate will have coffee or food business experience, is a team player, and is self-motivated to continually exceed expectations and increase sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome customers and help take their order. Be knowledgeable on our donut and coffee offerings, roasts and origins of coffee, and ingredients
- Coffee wizardry – create hot and cold coffee beverages at a fast pace while maintaining high quality
- Stellar customer service – help customers navigate the menu, decide on their donut/beverage option, share information on our seasonal flavors and house-made coffee, and provide genuine, positive interactions to upsell customers on larger quantities + drink orders
- Keep a clean workspace – clean the espresso machine, grinder, prep and serving surfaces, dishes and other equipment, as well as folding and stamping boxes to keep up with demand
- Flavor creation and testing – assist in brainstorming of new flavor profiles, including coffee blends and specialty/seasonal drinks (and donuts, too, if you’re up for it!)
- Flexibility – willing to help with other roles as needed, included order taking, check-out, serving, and help with kitchen prep work
REQUIREMENTS
- Weekend availability required
- Comfortable working on your own and managing multiple tasks at once
- Flexibility is key, must be able to multi-task and take on responsibilities that occasionally fall outside of this job description
- Ability to help maintain a positive company culture based on quality, positivity, growth, creativity, and fun
- Prior coffee or food industry experience a plus
THE DEETS
- Full-time or part-time roles available, morning shifts and weekends required
- Hourly pay starts at $15.15 an hour PLUS tips, ranging from $3-6 additional per hour, making the hourly rate range from $17-20

- Must be able to stand the majority of the work day and lift up to 50 pounds.
