You are a detail-oriented, customer-focused
professional who enjoys helping members through the mortgage lending process.
You are organized, adaptable, and comfortable handling both member-facing
service and behind-the-scenes loan support tasks in a fast-paced financial
environment.
Location: Napa, California (TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT)
This Position Pays: $24.00 – $31.00 per hour (DOE)
What You Will Be Doing:
- Serving
as the primary point of contact for mortgage lending members, including
walk-ins, phone inquiries, and referrals
- Intake
and processing of new mortgage loan applications in the loan fulfillment
system
- Collecting
and verifying required documentation (income, assets, and supporting
files)
- Monitoring
and following up on incomplete loan files and member requests
- Assisting
with regulatory compliance notices (e.g., Reg B, credit denial letters,
credit score disclosures)
- Managing
electronic loan files, including uploading and organizing documentation
- Coordinating
communication between branches, loan officers, and processing teams
- Handling
departmental email inboxes and distributing documents appropriately
- Assisting
with employment verification tasks (WVOE/VVOE)
- Cross-selling
credit union products and services when appropriate
What You Bring:
- High
school diploma or equivalent
- At
least 1 year of office, administrative, or customer service experience
- Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability
to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency
with PC systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based
tools
- Strong
attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
responsibly
- Ability
to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Ability
to obtain and maintain registration with the National Mortgage Licensing
System (SAFE Act compliance)
- Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse members, vendors,
and internal teams
