Job Summary
Steadfast Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and growth-oriented Associate Therapist (AMFT/APCC) who is passionate about helping Individuals and Couples heal from relational trauma, relationship difficulties, sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, anxiety, and attachment wounds.
Ideal candidates are interested in specialized clinical training and developing advanced competency in trauma-informed and addiction-focused treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to clients’ needs, focusing on sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, PTSD care, and behavioral health issues.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and crisis intervention strategies.
- Provide crisis management and crisis intervention services to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress or trauma.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and clinical records compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and community resource linkage.
- Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to enhance clinical practices and treatment outcomes within the specialized field of sexual addiction and betrayal trauma.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Interest in sexual addiction treatment, betrayal trauma recovery, and relationship restoration
- Desire to pursue or currently pursuing CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) training preferred
- Experience providing, or a strong interest in developing skills in, individual, couples, and/or group therapy
- Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills
- Familiarity with evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions
- Interest in working with trauma, attachment issues, or relational conflict
- EMDR training or interest in EMDR strongly encouraged
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a supportive team environment
- Comfortable utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Professional, ethical, and client-centered approach to care

Education & Licensing Requirements
- Registered AMFT or APCC in the state of California
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field required
- Must be in good standing with the California BBS
Bonus Qualifications:
- Interest in faith-integrated counseling
- Experience with couples therapy
- Familiarity with attachment-based, psychodynamic, CBT, IFS, or relational approaches
- Passion for long-term professional growth and specialization in trauma and addiction recovery
Associate Compensation Model - CSAT-Based Clinical Pay Scale
Steadfast Counseling Center is committed to developing clinicians with specialized training in Sexual Addiction Recovery and Betrayal Trauma. As part of this commitment, associates will receive incremental pay increases based on completion of CSAT training modules.
This structured compensation model rewards professional development and clinical specialization.
Pay: $20.00 - $85.00 per hour
