The Medical Assistant is a vital member of the clinical team, providing hands-on support to providers and ensuring high-quality, efficient patient care. This role includes clinical responsibilities such as patient intake, assisting with procedures, administering injections, and managing documentation in accordance with practice standards. Based on company needs, the Medical Assistant will also be cross-trained to support front desk receptionist duties to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and documentation.

Assist physicians with exams, procedures, and patient preparation.

Administer injections, vaccines, and basic lab tests as ordered.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records (HIPAA compliant).

Keep exam rooms and clinical equipment clean, stocked, and properly maintained.

Support smooth patient flow and coordinate with providers and internal departments.

Cross-train and assist with front desk receptionist duties as needed, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and phone support

Provide patient education, follow-up instructions, and address patient concerns.

Participate in required training and maintain clinical skills.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program (required).

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant.

Strong understanding of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and patient care processes.

Ability to measure and record vital signs manually and electronically.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
-
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
