South Bend Medical Foundation, a trusted leader in Pathology and Blood services, is seeking an Accountant. The Accountant position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial planning and reporting processes.
Successful candidate should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in, or strong knowledge of, not-for-profit healthcare accounting is helpful
- Hands-on experience in preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, maintaining general ledger and ensuring compliance with accounting standards is necessary.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software including NetSuite a plus
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles
Key Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and presentations.
