Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and executing repairs efficiently to minimize downtime. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, reliable, and productive environment, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Services, repairs, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on mechanical principles; includes forklift, overhead crane, grinders, hand tools, etc.
- Actively looks to find safer ways to utilize mechanical equipment; ensures safe operation of equipment
- Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare maintenance project layouts
- Performs special maintenance projects as indicated by Warehouse Manager
- Assists with routine maintenance of MEVA owned equipment, inspecting drives, motors, belts, etc.
- Maintains preventative maintenance schedule; gathers information and develops solutions
- Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to repair or reset parts as needed; Shapes or cuts material to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- If maintenance duties are not needed, participates in production to include weld, sorting, accessories, hardware, shipping & receiving (See additional duties and responsibilities)
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques and electrical troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing..
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate across teams to resolve issues promptly.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
