Job duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise monitoring and observability solutions using Splunk and Datadog to ensure availability, performance, and security of banking applications.
- Develop advanced Splunk Processing Language (SPL) queries to analyze large volumes of machine data, logs, and metrics for troubleshooting and operational insights.
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards, visualizations, and reports in Splunk and Datadog to monitor system health, application performance, and business transactions.
- Implement and manage real-time alerting and incident response mechanisms to proactively detect anomalies, failures, and security threats across distributed systems.
- Integrate monitoring tools with AWS cloud services, including EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3, to enable end-to-end visibility across cloud infrastructure.
- Analyze system logs, metrics, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks, root causes of incidents, and optimization opportunities.
- Automate data ingestion pipelines, log forwarding, and indexing strategies using Splunk forwarders and cloud-native services.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to implement observability best practices, logging standards, and monitoring frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements by implementing audit logging, access controls, and monitoring for suspicious activities.
- Optimize system performance and scalability by tuning Splunk indexes, search performance, retention policies, and infrastructure configurations.
Minimum Education Requirement: This position requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
