About Knox Hort:

Essential job duties include:
- Supports, troubleshoots, maintains, and upgrades Intel-based company computers, laser and thermal printers, networking equipment, and related technology hardware and software.
- Also includes Active Directory support tasks, such as user account management, password resets, and some server management.
- Set up new users, deploy workstations, put company email on employee’s mobile devices.
- Documents all changes and service activities.
- May work on special projects as time permits.
- Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to work in diverse environments. Most of daily activities are in the office but when support is needed, it is in a greenhouse/warehouse environment (hot, dirty/dusty etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- CompTIA A+ Certification with 1+ year of work experience *or* (without A+ Cert) 3+ years of work experience directly supporting hardware, software, and end-users.
- Experience using and supporting Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel (highly proficient), and Outlook) and willingness to learn other software that will need to be supported.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Self-driven, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
- Must be able to follow-through and complete responsibilities without active supervision.
- Flexibility to a changing operating and service environment.
- Ability to perform work in an open work area which can be filled with background noise or distraction.
- Be able to climb a ladder, be able to install low voltage wiring/Cat 5/Cat 6, replace/install cameras etc.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Being bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
Additional Skills and Work Experience Desired:
- CompTIA Network+ Certificate or experience working with network hardware and terminating network wiring.
- Associate Degree or Vocational/Technical Training in the IT Field.
- 3+ years of work experience directly supporting computer hardware, software, and end-users.
- Aptitude with power tools and other mechanical work (e.g. building and mounting IT equipment to enclosures and stands)
- Knowledge of SQL Databases, queries, database structure, and relationships. Experience building data queries and reports using Excel, Crystal Reports, DevExpress, or other report writers.
- Industrial Label Printer experience along with building label layouts in BarTender or alike.
Schedule Requirements:
- Most work is done during normal business hours (M-F 8-5).
- Some tasks require work during evenings and weekends.
- Ideal candidate must understand that Knox Hort is a production company and this position is a support position for all company operations. If a user or work station is down, it may require immediate support from this Computer Support position, 7 days per week.

- Must have reliable transportation.
