Overview
As the face of People & Culture at the Homewood Suites Salina Downtown, you will also foster a positive, engaging, and safe work environment while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Your role will be to support ongoing team member development, retention, and recognition.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process for hiring new employees across various departments within the hotel. Develop recruitment strategies and selection criteria to attract qualified candidates. Coordinate interviews, conduct candidate assessments, and make hiring recommendations to department managers.
- Manage employee relations by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary issues. Act as a mediator to resolve conflicts and ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees. Foster open communication, trust, and mutual respect among employees and management.
- Develop and implement training programs, orientation sessions, and professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to employees to support their career growth and advancement within the organization.
- Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions, to evaluate employee performance and productivity. Identify high-performing employees, recognize achievements, and provide opportunities for advancement or additional responsibilities.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and company guidelines. Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, health and safety standards, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Conduct HR audits and assessments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Responsible for compensation and benefits administration, payroll processing, employee engagement initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning, employee communication, and HR analytics and reporting.
- Plan and execute all employee relation celebrations and gatherings to create and foster a positive work culture for all.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of performance management systems and best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, including recruiting strategies and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and interpretation to inform decision-making.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
