Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations following established routes
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation.
-Driver will be required to help with general construction tasks when all deliveries and dumpsters are finished.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with experience in driving various types of trucks (e.g., tractor-trailer, dump truck, tanker)
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations or delays during transportation
- Physical stamina and strength to load and unload cargo as required
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
