We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Receptionist / Office Coordinator fluent in Russian and English to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly in both Russian and English, ensuring a welcoming clinic atmosphere
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare and health insurance policies, ensuring accurate billing and collections
- Manage medical records and electronic health records (EHR) with attention to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Assist with medical billing processes, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and documentation review for accuracy
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information on appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and clinic policies
- Support clinical staff with care plan coordination, documentation review, and maintaining organized medical files
- Perform front desk duties such as checking in patients, collecting co-pays, and managing office supplies to ensure seamless daily operations
Skills
- Bilingual fluency in Russian and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), medical billing, and health insurance procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information
- Experience with medical office management software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and efficiently
- Adept at managing medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and health information management practices
- Proven clerical experience in a healthcare setting with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately for data entry tasks
- Knowledge of Medicare processes and documentation review for compliance purposes
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy
