Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and air brake inspections to prevent future issues.
- Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools.
- Repair and service heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify root causes of malfunctions efficiently.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
- Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication regarding repair status and recommended maintenance solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulics, HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), shocks & struts, wheel alignment, and suspension components.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and maintenance equipment for vehicle repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely during tire services or component replacements.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills to explain repairs clearly to clients or team members.
- Valid certifications in diesel engine repair or automotive diagnostics are highly desirable; dealership experience is a plus. Join our team where your skills will make an immediate impact! Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
