American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care, teaching hospital in Arizona, working a Sunday–Thursday day shift schedule.

Inpatient (acute care) OT setting at an 87-bed short-term acute care hospital
-
Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Sunday–Thursday schedule; one weekend day required

Average daily census of 14–16 patients
-
Teaching facility with Level IV trauma designation
-
Charting via Cerner EMR
-
No on-call or floating requirements
-
Free parking available

Active AZ OT license required and must be in hand at start — license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
-
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
-
Experience managing moderate-to-maximum assist patients preferred
-
Generalist background with confidence treating a variety of medical diagnoses preferred
-
Ability to work with ventilated patients preferred
-
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Obtaining an AZ OT license requires submitting a fingerprint clearance card with the application; the full licensing process can take 7–12 weeks, so candidates should plan accordingly

Facility follows quality and patient safety standards including medication administration via BCMA
