Your expertise will make a direct impact as you support students, including those in center-based programs where communication needs are a priority. With a smaller student population, you’ll have the chance to work closely with individuals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both schools. Typical work hours are from 7:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m., but there is room for flexibility to ensure the schedule suits your needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience or strong interest in a school-based setting, especially with middle and high school students
- Ability to support students with diverse communication needs, including those in specialized center-based programs
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Flexibility to split time between two buildings
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
- Participate in team meetings and support a positive learning environment
