Job Overview
Seeking legal assistance for a small workers' compensation defense firm in the Campus Commons area of Sacramento.
Duties & Qualifications
- Transcribe dictations
- Oversee office calendar: track deadlines, coordinate depositions, conferences, court appearances, ensure timely responses to clients
- Pull QME Panels, set QME and AME evaluations, assemble and index medical records,
- Prepare and assemble attorney file review materials for client meetings
- Draft, edit, file and serve documents and correspondence in accordance with EAMS E-form Agreement/WCAB Guidelines
- Create pleading templates, tracking spreadsheets (subpoena orders, EAMS filings, case statuses, etc.)
- Provide general tech support to office, work with off-site IT to organize fixes and updates
- File construction
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook
Requirements
- Office experience required (past experience in a legal environment preferred)
- Punctuality, typical day is from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
