The Accounting Manager is a critical part of our accounting team, tailored to manage the bookkeepers/staff accountants, guide month-end close, lead client communications and develop actionable financial reports. This is a detail-oriented role that combines leadership and accounting expertise.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Daily Accounting Operations: Manage communications with assigned clients and ensure the completion of daily accounting tasks (bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)
- Oversight of Month-End Close: Manage month-end close process for our clients and communicate with the bookkeepers and upper-level management to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Creating and Delivering Financial Reports: Giving our clients quick feedback loops into their financial performance
- Monthly Client Calls: Maintaining frequent contact through scheduled calls guarantees personalized service and up-to-date client and team alignment. Proactive communication here is crucial for this role.
- Financial KPI Creation, Targeting, & Analysis: Initial KPI setup call with new clients - Craft tailored metrics to clients, making sure ours and their most important considerations are tracked on a monthly ongoing basis
- Forecasting and Budgeting: 13 week cashflow forecasting experience is a must
- Documenting: Religiously update the project management system to reflect the status of each client's tasks. Update client internal Slack channels with any relevant information the team should know about. Create SOP's relevant to your role as you tackle new challenges
- Team Leadership: Daily communication and guidance of staff accountants
- Regular Team Check-Ins: Report progress and bring questions to the team when they arise. Weekly meetings with the full team to ensure we're on the same page and operations are running smoothly.
Requirements:
- Accounting, FP&A, or CAS Experience
- Experience Managing Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
- Strong Understanding and Experience with Month-End Close
- Expert in QuickBooks Online
- Expert in Excel / Google Sheets
- Knowledge and Ability to Build a Cash Flow Forecast
- Strong Ability To Ask Great Questions and Problem Solve
- Strong Understanding of How Chart of Accounts Effects Reporting

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
