We are looking for a Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collect payments whether in cash or credit
- Handle customer complaints in accordance with the stated customer complaint guidelines at your store
- Maintain a neat, clean, personal appearance at all times
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Assists store manager in maintaining proper inventory levels and assists in the preparation of regular inventories
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Know and follow company policies and procedures
- Physically able to lift at least forty (40) pounds
Skills
- Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
- Good math skills and cash handling
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- High school degree
