Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will be preforming 2 tests on patients. Training will be given to the ideal candidate. Knowledge of ABI is a plus. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional service delivery. We are starting with one day a week and then proactively growing to more days. Duties
- Assist with patient intake and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support accurate assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Manage medical documentation accurately—recording patient notes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and updating medical records efficiently within EMR/EHR systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology, and anatomy is essential for providing quality patient care.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records is required; proficiency with ICD coding is a plus.
- Previous inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) environments will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining compassionate patient service is vital.
- Must have great computer skills.
- Must speak Sanish.
