About Texas Industrial Glass
Texas Industrial Glass is a commercial glazing contractor based in Euless, TX. Since 2007, we've built a reputation for delivering quality work on complex commercial projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and West Texas. Our portfolio includes industrial warehouses, healthcare facilities, schools, office buildings, and government projects.
With approximately 45 employees and a strong reputation for quality, we are looking to capitalize on this position with an experienced construction professional to help bring our company to the next level.
The Opportunity
This is an executive leadership position reporting directly to the President.
We're seeking an experienced commercial construction leader who understands how to manage high-performing teams, improve operational processes, and drive accountability across an organization. This role will serve as the operational leader of the company, acting as the primary resource for our Project Managers, Estimators, and Administrative staff while enabling the President to focus on long-term strategic growth.
While commercial glass experience is preferred, commercial construction experience in any sector is a must. If you have a proven record of leading people, improving operations, and delivering successful projects, you are the ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring projects move efficiently from estimating through to completion.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Project Managers, Estimators, and Administrative staff.
- Oversee project execution and assist teams in resolving complex project challenges.
- Lead regular operations and project review meetings.
- Coordinate project schedules and operational priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Monitor project financial performance.
- Evaluate employee performance while assisting with hiring, coaching, and professional development.
- Identify and implement operational improvements that increase efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
- Champion safety, quality, and exceptional customer service throughout the organization.
- Assist with project management and estimating responsibilities when needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Previous experience leading project managers or other construction professionals.
- Commercial glass or glazing experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction operations from estimating through project closeout.
- Proven ability to develop people, improve processes, and build accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial acumen with the ability to monitor project performance and profitability.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- A proven leader who earns trust and develops strong teams.
- Accountable, organized, and decisive.
- A strategic thinker who enjoys solving operational challenges.
- Customer-focused with exceptional communication skills.
- Process-oriented and constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency.
- Comfortable making difficult decisions while maintaining strong relationships.
- Motivated by helping build a company—not simply managing projects.
Success in Your First Year
A successful Director of Operations will:
- Become the trusted day-to-day leader for our Project Managers, Estimators, and Administrative team.
- Improve operational consistency and accountability across the organization.
- Develop scalable processes that support continued company growth.
- Build strong relationships with our customers and key business partners.
- Help improve project execution, communication, and overall operational performance.
- Successfully transition day-to-day operational leadership from the President, allowing executive leadership to focus on long-term strategic growth.
