Job Summary
Roots Learning Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated EEC Certified Toddler Teacher to inspire and teacher in our toddler room. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment that promotes toddler development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. Your expertise will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning by implementing developmentally appropriate activities and fostering positive relationships with children and families.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
- Facilitate engaging activities that support language development, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and early math concepts through play-based learning.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including diapering or toileting assistance, snack time, nap schedules, and transition activities.
- Use behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and address challenges with patience and consistency.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons and create a fun work place.
Skills
- Must hold EEC teacher certifiaction through the state of Mass.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, classroom management, and curriculum development.
- Experience working with children in a childcare settings or private preschool environments.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate a wide range of learning activities, and build on social-emotional learning.
- Proven classroom experience managing young learners with patience and enthusiasm while maintaining a safe environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
