Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, varies)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Candidate Type: Travel Only (No local candidates within 50 miles)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment at Northside Hospital Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care respiratory therapy experience and be skilled in providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients across multiple care settings.
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
- Manage mechanical ventilators and assist with ventilator weaning.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and Code Blue situations.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Georgia Respiratory Care License (RRT) required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Strong acute care hospital experience preferred
