We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinarian Technician/Assistant to join our veterinary team in Oviedo, FL. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
- Collect and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, and feces.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress.
- Provide compassionate care and support to animals before, during, and after procedures.
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, nutrition, and general health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a veterinary technician program preferred.
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of animal care and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
