Scioto Valley Precast is a leading precast concrete manufacturer in Chillicothe, Ohio. We pride ourselves on producing high-quality concrete products safely and on schedule. We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Plant Foreman to lead our production crew and drive our daily operations.
The Role
As the Precast Plant Foreman, you will oversee the daily production floor, ensuring that all precast products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards. You will manage a crew of laborers and skilled workers, coordinating everything from form setup and pouring to stripping and finishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Crew: Supervise, train, and motivate production staff. Assign daily tasks and ensure production quotas are met.
- Production Management: Oversee the setup of forms, placement of rebar/mesh, pouring, vibrating, and curing processes.
- Quality Control: Inspect pre and post-pour setups to ensure all products meet engineered drawings and exact specifications.
- Safety First: Ensure all OSHA regulations and company safety policies are being adhered to. Lead daily toolbox talks and strive to maintain a zero-incident culture.
- Inventory & Equipment: Monitor material inventory (cement, aggregate, admixtures) and ensure all batching equipment, cranes, and hand tools are properly maintained.
- Train team members on the proper use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and safety procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that complies with all safety regulations and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, manufacturing, or precast concrete production with a strong understanding of fabrication processes.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery such as forklifts, power tools, welding equipment, and other heavy machinery.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or managing a crew in a fast-paced production setting.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including PPE adherence and hazard mitigation.
- Ability to perform precise dimensional measurements using various tools to ensure product quality.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling and inventory management is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train team members effectively on safety practices and technical procedures.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and batch plant equipment is a major plus.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
