Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher for 3-year-olds to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and thrive while ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during these formative years. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00.
Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of 3-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical activity, and social skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that stimulate curiosity and support early childhood development milestones.
- Foster strong relationships with children through individualized attention, encouraging independence and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities.
- Support children in developing social-emotional skills through guided activities, conflict resolution strategies, and positive reinforcement.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development principles, and early intervention techniques.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administration seamlessly.
- Experience teaching physical education activities suitable for young children to promote motor skill development.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing where applicable to assess developmental progress.
- Previous experience in preschool teaching or private school settings is highly desirable.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
