About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical for a 13-week contract opportunity in Rome, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform nursing interventions according to physician orders.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomes accurately in the facility's EMR.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care and patient safety.
Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and infection prevention protocols.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Medical/Surgical nursing experience required.
Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in an acute care environment.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work scheduled night shifts.
