Michigan Electric Supply Co is seeking a Part-Time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations, adhering to route schedules and traffic laws.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secured properly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by addressing client inquiries professionally and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist with warehouse duties including inventory management, stock organization, and order picking.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety standards are met.
- Support in moving heavy or bulky items within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Chauffeurs license and Valid M-DOT Health Card
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or warehouse worker with a focus on route driving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of driving manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting, moving, and handling warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
- Prior warehouse experience including inventory management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
