Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards
- Assist with meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation quality
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including portioning and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, following proper handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
- Support catering events or special functions with timely food prep and setup
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued highly
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrates familiarity with kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential
- Skills in menu planning, meal preparation, and culinary techniques are advantageous
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking methods support efficient food prep tasks

Pay: $16.90 - $18.50 per hour
