Clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering treatments.
Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines.
Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming and oral care.
Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques, including dog training and pet care practices.
Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and ensure a sterile environment for procedures.
Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, and monitoring health status.
Document medical records accurately, including vital signs, medication administration, and laboratory results.
Support pet owners with advice on animal physiology, anatomy, and general pet care to promote overall well-being.
Deliver estimates to owner for cost of treatment.
Previous experience or hands-on animal handling experience as a Registered Veterinary Technicians or Unregistered Veterinary Assistant for more than 1 year is required.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
Experience with veterinary critical care, laboratory procedures, or equine handling is a plus.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging and understand related safety protocols.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners.
Certification or licensing as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is preferred; however, experienced unregistered assistants with relevant skills and more than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.
