Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Initiate and coordinate analytical related data from production, service , or process activities and report the data using statistical techniques when appropriate
- Establish documentation and processes for new equipment
- Support the Analytical lab, Engineering staff and Manufacturing activities
- Performing analytical testing including analytical equipment calibration
- Develop and implement processes for new equipment including method development and Gage R&R
- Specialized manufacturing activities
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analysis
- Assessing analytical testing capabilities and find opportunities for improvement
- Perform property measurements requested by external and internal customers
- Coordinate analysis required to e conducted by outside laboratories
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Masters degree in Chemistry or related analytical field
- Required: BS in Chemistry or related analytical field
- Regardless of education or work experience, the position incumbent must be willing to pursue additional training or upgrade their education and/or sharpen skill deficiencies
- Required 2-3 years devoted to chemical or materials analysis
- Preferred 5 or more years of chemical/materials analysis
- Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, research, and multitasking abilities.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A professional appearance.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Mathematical and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to identify problems and opportunities relating to Analytical services, Research and Development (R&D), and outside customers.
- Self-starting, detailed oriented person, able to interface with QA Technicians, R&D and Manufacturing Staff and outside Customers
- Must be able to prioritize
