We are seeking a passionate and creative PRN Creative Arts Therapist to join our inpatient behavioral health team in Dallas, PA. This flexible, as-needed position focuses on facilitating expressive therapy groups for adults receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
In this role, you will utilize art, music, dance, or other expressive modalities to support clients in their recovery journey. This is a group-focused position and does not include an individual counseling caseload.
- Facilitate creative arts therapy groups using art, music, dance, or other expressive modalities based on client treatment needs.
- Prepare and organize materials, activities, and session plans for scheduled groups.
- Observe client participation and communicate relevant clinical information to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership to support treatment planning and service delivery.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment during all sessions, including responding appropriately to crisis situations.
- Participate in required supervision, team meetings, and trainings.
- Travel to program sites as needed.
- Work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week based on program needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Complete all required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's degree in a clinical or behavioral health field required.
- For Music Therapist roles supporting Substance Use Disorder programs, a bachelor's degree in Music Therapy will be considered.
- ATR-BC, MT-BC, or BC-DMT preferred; candidates actively pursuing board certification are encouraged to apply.
- LPC or LCSW preferred, but not required.
