JOB DESCRIPTION
CNC Machinist
We are looking for a motivated CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components according to customer specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, and basic inspection tools. Experience with programming, CAM software, Fanuc controls, GD&T, or CMM inspection is a plus, but not required for every applicant. We are willing to consider candidates with varying levels of experience who are dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a precision manufacturing environment.
Schedule & Work Environment
This position follows a 4-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, with four 10-hour shifts. Our facility is heated and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable shop environment year-round.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators.
- Make machine offsets and basic adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting, tooling changes, and routine machine maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work with supervisors and team members to meet production and quality goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CNC machining experience.
- Familiarity with CNC mills, lathes, Fanuc controls, or similar systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- CNC programming or CAM software experience is a plus.
- Experience with CMM inspection, SolidWorks, CAD, welding, EDM, or assembly is helpful but not required.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn.
