Position Purpose:
Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for aMedical Secretary to join theBariatric Surgery office located inHartford. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
This personis responsible forproviding exceptional customer service and care to all patients and clientsandisresponsible for the coordination ofadministrativetasks.The Medical Secretary hasadministrative responsibilities includingpatient greeting,check-in, answeringphones, triaging phone calls, scanning, scheduling appointments and procedures for exams and regularly communicating with office staff. The medical secretary prepares andmaintains patient charts and obtains pre-certifications andauthorizations forpatients' exams.
What You Will Do:
- Contributes to overall quality of care by treating all patients with respect and dignity
- Provides exceptional customer service in person and over the phone withpatients,staff, and family members
- Maintainsproficiency with office computer systems. Performs clerical duties in afast-paced environment
- Supports clinical staff with clerical and clinical tasks with positive energy
Minimum Requirements:
- Education Associates preferred
- 1-2 years' experience in healthcare
- Medical Secretary/equivalent on-the-job experiencerequired
- Epic experience preferred
- Excellent computer abilities.
- Excellent written, oral communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
