Freelance or Part-Time (Remote or Hybrid)
Quatrefoil Associates is looking for a UX/UI or Game Designer to create digital experiences for museums, science centers, and other cultural spaces. You’ll design touchscreens, interactive media, and playful learning tools for visitors of all ages.
What You’ll Do
Design user-friendly interfaces for multimedia exhibits
Create UX/UI for multi-touch kiosks, large installations, and mobile/tablet versions
Build wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready artwork
Turn complex content into clear, engaging experiences
Work closely with designers, developers, and educators
What You Bring
Strong visual and interaction design skills
Experience designing for touchscreens or public installations
Experience with responsive design
Skill with prototyping tools (Balsamiq, Axure, Figma, etc.)
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
Experience creating wireframes, flows, and production specs
Ability to solve UX problems with a focus on engagement
Familiarity with accessibility standards (ADA, Section 508, WCAG)
Comfortable working on a collaborative, creative team
A minimum of 3 years experience in digital design
Bonus (Nice to Have)
2D or 3D animation
Degree in fine arts, graphic arts, human factors, or related field
Basic HTML/CSS or front-end design knowledge
Experience with content management systems
Interest in game-based learning, AR/VR, or immersive media
